St. Petersburg, Russia

St. Petersburg, Russia
Who would expect that what started as a poor swamp town would end up being Russia’s cultural heart and a city of remarkable grandeur? Stroll up and down the streets to admire the Baroque and neoclassical architecture and allow yourself plenty of time to see as much as possible of the world-renowned art collection of the Hermitage. From late May to early July the nights are bright in St Petersburg and you can walk along the banks of the city's rivers and canals in almost broad daylight, no matter what the time of day. A summer in that city is something exceptional.
